🏗️ More Exciting News About the Works Happening at the Nursery!
We are delighted to share more exciting news about the ongoing improvements at Sticky Faces Nursery!
We want to take a moment to thank all our amazing parents, carers, children and staff for your continued support as we work through some wonderful changes to make the nursery even better. Your positivity and encouragement mean so much to us as we evolve and grow together.
To ensure our nursery continues to be a truly special place, further works will begin as soon as we close for the summer holidays. These improvements include the opening of a new room and relocating the kitchen to a more suitable space—making the environment even more inviting, spacious and functional for all.
Because of this, we will not be running our usual summer holiday provision this year. This decision allows us to fully focus on completing all works so that everything is ready and looking amazing when we welcome you back in September for the Autumn Term.
Thank you again for your support and understanding—we can’t wait for you to see all the exciting changes!

This year’s photos will be taken outdoors in our beautiful garden and will include:

Dates for your diary:
- Photoshoot: Friday 27th June from 9am
- Proofs returned to nursery: Wednesday 2nd July
- Orders collected: Tuesday 8th July
- Photos delivered back to nursery: by Friday 18th July
We can’t wait to capture these special memories with you!
🎓 Graduation & End of Term BBQ Garden Party – Friday 25th July
We’re excited to invite you to our Graduation and End of Term BBQ Garden Party on our very last day of the term – Friday 25th July, from 12pm to 2pm.
It’s going to be a fun-filled celebration as we mark the end of a wonderful academic year and give a big GOOD LUCK to all our amazing children moving on to Reception in September!
Due to limited space in the garden, we kindly ask that only a maximum of two parents or carers attend per child. Please also note that there will be no session after 2pm, and parents must remain with their children during the party.
We can’t wait to celebrate together and make some lasting memories before the summer break!
📰 Staff News
Let’s all say a BIG congratulations to Channah and Becky for completing their childcare apprenticeships!
Channah is now a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator, and Becky is a Level 2 qualified Early Years Practitioner. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work. Their commitment to their learning is already shining through in their daily practice, bringing fresh ideas and new energy into the nursery. Well done, Channah and Becky!
Saida and Dlnya are leading our Maths Champions programme. They are attending courses and seminars with brilliant tutors from the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) and the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF). The EEF is an independent charity focused on improving education outcomes, and we’re thrilled to be working with such fantastic resources!
Lucianna continues her professional development journey with the NPQEYL (National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership), supported by the Department for Education—a fantastic addition to her level 6 Early Years Professional Status.
Dlnya, our brilliant Deputy Manager, is also currently completing the Level 3 SENCo training in partnership with the Hounslow Borough SEN Team. She is now sharing the responsibilities of the SENCo role with Lucianna, bringing even more expertise to our inclusive practice.
Katie has been engaging in a range of training sessions, including safeguarding with the Hounslow Safeguarding Team, supporting toileting transitions, and leading effective small group times—all of which are already having a positive impact in the rooms.
Fatima is working exceptionally hard towards achieving her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, which she is on track to complete by October.
We’re so proud to be a team that values continuous learning, growth, and professional development—all to benefit the children and families we care for every day. Their ongoing learning journey is directly enhancing the quality of care and education we offer our nursery community!
🎉 Nursery Open Day – Friday 30th May, 10am–12pm
We are extremely excited to be opening our nursery doors to welcome new parents, carers, and their children to come and see the amazing work we do!
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the team, explore the nursery environment, and get a real feel for what we have to offer from September onwards.
We’ll have a morning full of engaging activities, including messy play, singing and dancing, garden play, and making playdough from scratch.
Please spread the word in the community — to friends, family, and anyone you know who may be looking for a nursery place. We’d love to welcome them in for a fun and friendly visit!
👕 Labelling Clothes
Can we please remind all parents/carers to label all clothing that the children bring into the nursery. We have had lots of clothes being taken home to other people’s houses etc.
Remember: We still have a few tops and jumpers available at the nursery if you’d like to purchase them. Please let Lucianna know or email info@stickyfaces.co.uk .
- £12 per jumper
- £8 per t-shirt
Please include the size and quantity in your email.
