Our Story
Sticky Faces Nursery first opened its doors in 2019, born from a deep desire to provide our own children with the very best start in life. We envisioned a space that was more than just childcare — a warm, welcoming environment where children could feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
Our aim was simple: to create a setting that offered exciting and innovative early years care, where play, interaction, and development were part of every day. We believed, and still believe, that children learn best when they feel secure, happy, and free to be themselves — and that belief shaped every decision we made in designing our nursery.
From the beginning, we prioritised recruiting a team of staff who shared our values — individuals with passion, enthusiasm, and an unwavering commitment to children’s wellbeing and development. Together, we built a nurturing environment where meaningful learning opportunities are woven into daily routines, and where every child is encouraged to thrive in their own unique way.
In 2022, our efforts were recognised when we received a wonderful Good rating from Ofsted during our first inspection — a proud moment that reflected the care, dedication, and teamwork that go into making Sticky Faces Nursery a truly special place for children and families alike.
Our passionate team of educators are at the heart of everything we do, creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive!
About Us
At Sticky Faces, we are dedicated to giving children the very best start in life, providing care and learning for children aged 2 to 5 years old. Our extraordinary team of qualified practitioners, including our SENCo, DSLs, First Aiders, and Managers, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to ensure every child thrives in a nurturing and supportive environment.
We are a family-driven nursery, and we work in close partnership with you to ensure your child gains the maximum benefit from their time with us. Guided by our core values of respect, empathy, and inclusivity, we promote children’s independent learning by offering carefully planned activities and play opportunities that encourage them to learn and grow at their own pace.
We offer fully funded sessions for children, which means families can access their full government-funded entitlements free of charge. We also provide affordable, tailored private sessions for families who are not yet able to access funding or need extra hours at nursery. These sessions are designed to fit around our families’ needs, ensuring flexible options for every child’s early learning journey.
We accept working families’ funding codes for children aged 2 years onwards, 2-year-old funding codes from Hounslow for families accessing additional forms of government support, universal funding for 3- and 4-year-olds (https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/), and payments through the Tax-Free Childcare government scheme (https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare)

Our warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment reflects our vision of nurturing happy, confident, and curious learners. Here, your child will develop a positive image of themselves and others, embracing diversity and building strong, trusting relationships.
We are committed to nurturing every child’s imagination and creativity, helping them develop self-confidence through praise and genuine care. We guide their social skills by fostering kindness, respect, sharing, and trust. At the heart of everything we do is the goal of inspiring their natural love for learning and helping them flourish into well-rounded individuals, ready to thrive in an ever-changing world. 😊

Our Approach to Learning and Development
At Sticky Faces Nursery, we cater for children aged 2 to 5 years old and are deeply committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish. Our curriculum is firmly rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which guides everything we do — from our daily routines to our long-term planning — ensuring that children receive a balanced, holistic learning experience across all seven areas of development.
We recognise that children develop at different rates, so we tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of both age groups:
For our two-year-olds, the focus is on building secure attachments and supporting the development of communication and language, physical skills, and personal, social and emotional growth. Through play-based learning and a strong key person system, we help our younger children settle, explore, and build confidence in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment.
For our pre-schoolers aged 3 and above, we introduce more structured learning experiences that prepare them for school while still prioritising exploration, curiosity, and child-led discovery. We support early literacy and numeracy, critical thinking, and independence, ensuring each child is well-equipped for the next stage of their educational journey.
Our large, open-plan space and beautiful garden area allow us to create engaging, purposeful activities that reflect the interests and developmental stages of the children. Outdoor play is a vital part of our day, providing rich opportunities for physical development, problem-solving, and connection with nature.
We are also proud to offer a dedicated sensory room — a calm and enriching space where children can relax, regulate, and engage in focused, small-group or 1:1 interactions. This space supports children who benefit from a quieter environment and allows for more personalised teaching and emotional support.
Through a combination of thoughtful planning, passionate staff, and a child-centred approach, we create a vibrant and supportive environment where children are encouraged to thrive — at their own pace, in their own way.
